Valerian Bakharev

Valerian Bakharev was born on May 5, 1962 in Sverdlovsk. He studied at the Art and Graphics Faculty of the Khabarovsk Teachers' Institute and at the department of easel painting at the Moscow People's University of Arts. Since 1989 he has participated in many group exhibitions in Russia and abroad. Free artist, one of the founders of the Association of Central Ural Graphic Artists. The author of illustrations for one of the oldest books in the history of mankind - "The Book of Change", his work "Signs of I-jin" became a symbol of the 4th International Exhibition of Calligraphy. He also illustrated the treatise "Chuang Tzu", several art books, decorated with his works. He lives and works in Yekaterinburg.
