Stanislav Krupp

Artist Stanislav Krupp was born in 1959 in Kamensk-Uralsk Sverdlovsk Oblast. In 1984 graduated from Sverdlovsk Art College. Since 1979 he has participated in numerous exhibitions. More than 300 works are in private collections in Russia, Germany, Sweden, Israel, England, Spain and the United States. He lives and works in the city of Kamensk-Uralsk.

He perceives his works as direct allusions and reminiscences of the Silver Age. The proper definition of the style is Gothic Modern or magical realism, as a tribute to medieval and Eastern mysticism. Favorite historical epochs and styles: Northern Renaissance, European Middle Ages, Russian Silver Age; Gothic, Symbolism, Viennese Secession, Russian Modern. In painting, gustav Klimt, Mikhail Vrubel, Alfons Mucha are considered to be recognized masters of art nouveau. It is on them that the artist Stanislav Krupp is oriented.
